New Solange Album & Tracklist: Hadley St. Dreams Do Come True

You do not understand the joy I felt when I found out that new Solange music is on the way. Her third studio album, A Seat at the Table, drops tomorrow. Everyone, this is not a drill, it is the real deal. This is happening.

A lot of people do not know this, but I am a diehard Solange fan. I have been rocking heavy with her music for a while now, and I know each song on her last 2008 studio album, Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams, word for word. Word for word! Her most recent big hit in 2012, Losing You? It is the ringtone on my phone. Better believe it. When people compliment my ringtone, I always think, “Do not thank me, thank Solange, baby.”

I have always admired her carefree demeanor. That is code for staying blessed and unbothered. Get it? Not giving a you-know-what. She dances to the beat of her own drum. On Twitter, she unapologetically shares her thoughts on the intersectionality of being black and woman. On Instagram, let us just say her gallery can write novels because 1000 words is simply not enough.

On her site, Solange Knowles released a digital booklet, which features photographs and and lyrics for the upcoming album. The album has 21 songs and features artists Kelly Rowland, Tweet, Lil Wayne, The Dream, Q-Tip, Devonté Hynes, and more.

Hadley is a long road to travel, but the passage to Solange’s new journey begins soon. September 30th, you heard it here. I. Cannot. Wait. Hadley St. dreams do come true.
